With the
right under law to carry a firearm comes a tremendous
responsibility. |

During the 9 hours
of classroom instruction the following is covered:
 |
Legal
Issues (Legal Restriction on Possession of a Firearm and
Use of Deadly Force, Handgun Safety, Handgun &
Marksmanship Fundamentals, presentation techniques
(drawing & firing), cleaning and familiarization with
ammunition. |
 |
At the
end of the classroom instruction and testing there will
be a proficiency range test. |
This course does
NOT teach a person how to shoot. Inexperienced persons in firearms
should consider our basic handgun and safety course or a private
training session prior to taking the CCH Class.

Basic Handgun Instruction

Excellent course
for the novice man or woman as well as a refresher! Course involves
student hands on training with a semi-automatic and a revolver and
instructs on the following:

Basic Safety Rules in the safe handling of a firearms |
 |
Responsibility of owning a firearm |
 |
Load, function and unloading, trigger pull and control |
 |
Handling misfires and clearing malfunctions |
 |
Shooting stance, grip, dominate eye and proper use of
sights |
 |
Live
fire exercises on the range |

North Carolina Security Officer Training |
The State of
NC requires that security personnel receive mandated training. |
|
Unarmed security officers must
complete 16 hours of classroom training.
Armed security officers must complete a total of 40 hours of
training.
In addition to the classroom training, students must shoot 150
practice rounds and then qualify on a
prescribed course of fire.
We also provide fingerprinting and photograph services which is
required by the NC PPSB for registration of unarmed and armed
security officers. |
